In celebration of the 78th anniversary of liberation, we intend to hold a film festival that reminds us of the spirit of the independence movement and urges Japan to reflect,

to examine and illuminate the history, not the past, to suggest our future direction.

The 8th International Film Festival for Independence Movement, which will be held this time,

will make you look back on the desire for peace and its value that should be shared by all peoples in Asia and the world beyond Korea, Japan, and China.
